風力発電機 (Fuuryokuhatsudenki)

I recently had the pleasure of escaping my office and working in an 'isolated location' for a few days. The hotel room was away from the actual office, but beside the Hamaoka Nuclear Power Station (which was ordered to idle since the recent unpleasantness, and to review nuclear plant safety). I was surprised to find that the area has sprouted lots of wind turbines since my last visit, two years ago.

Here is my gas-guzzler contemplating a sustainable energy future:

Beautiful photo! Great cloud texture and leading lines. Also, I always like to see pics of places I remember,

A cruising friend Herb Weise started a co. named "Wind Power" in the 40ies. It was bought and sold several times, went bankrupt over a law suit by the French government. Problem was power cost was too low in the 40-50ies to make wind electric cost effective. As the cost of energy goes up and other forms are less desirable, it will come into it's own. Enviromentalist have a delima over the bird kill resulting from the big blades in NAmerica. Is the same true for Japan? The car, well Luke just bought a supercharged, Mustang with 500HP. You two guys need a wind mill of your own just to break even. Dad
